Details: Microbiological culture on selective agar media followed by antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) via disc diffusion or automated system.

Preparation: Fasting NOT required; clean-catch midstream urine sample collected in a sterile container prior to starting antibiotic treatment is recommended.
