Urine Routine & Microscopy (Urine R/M) Test

• Use: Evaluates physical, chemical, and microscopic properties of urine to screen for UTIs, kidney disease, diabetes, and urinary tract disorders.

• Details: Complete urinalysis combining physical inspection, dipstick chemical testing (protein, glucose, pH, ketones, bilirubin, urobilinogen, nitrite, leukocyte esterase), and microscopic evaluation of sediment (pus cells, RBCs, epithelial cells, casts, crystals, bacteria).

• Preparation: Fasting NOT required; clean-catch midstream morning urine sample collected in a sterile container is recommended for optimal results.
